Psy-Changelings Book 1

*******SOME SPOILERY*******

Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1)Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In this first instalment of the Psy-Changeling series of Nalini Singh, we met up with the Changelings and the Psy. Two races of beings dramatically different from humans in their own unique way, but both having a human form.

The races are destined to be polar opposites of each other, but not it seems bioligically. This comes from the Psy being conditioned to feel no emotion and the Changelings by nature being highly emotional and sensual beings.

That of course means lots of sparks when Sascha (a cardinal Psy) and Lucas (a Changeling Alpha) meet. Sascha is drawn to Lucas and she to him, in a way which at first confuses both of them, but once the sexual attraction becomes evident, they cannot stay away from one another. Sascha eventually chooses the life of feeling and Lucas above her very clinical and cold Psy existence and becomes more than what she ever dreamed of.

I simply loved every page of this book. Being a hopeless romantic and an avid Harlequin and Mills & Boon fan, it was so refreshing to read a story as easy and hopeful (and steamy) as a Harlequin or a Mills & Boon, but with a very new, refreshing and interesting plot!

I cannot recommend this book enough!
